Egg Credit Card

The Egg credit card was the second financial product launched by the company. The EggCard was introduced in 1999 as the first credit card designed for Internet usage and online account management. In October 2001 they offered 0% introductory offers for six months and a month later UK Egg credit card won the Royal Mail Tank People's Choice awards for their credit card mailing pack. Under a year later they were also awarded the Marketing Week/CIM Marketing Effectiveness Awards in recognition of their capturing of the majority of the online credit card market in the UK. In 2003 Egg credit were also awarded Best Credit Card in the annual Personal Finance Readership Awards and in Spring 2004 they won the Moneyfacts Best Credit Card Provider Award for offering a consistently competitive product in the Egg Card. Accolades for the company continued in 2005 with the award for Best Credit Card Provider in Personal Finance Magazine's annual award ceremony.

Clearly with such accolades the Egg credit card has received high endorsement from the financial sector. Their simple yet effective approach has earned them a large share of the online credit card market within the UK.

An excellent feature of the UK online operation is Egg's Money Manager. This lets you consolidate all of your online bank accounts, savings and credit cards into just one login.

How do you get started

It takes about 10 minutes to apply for an Eggcard, simply fill in the details and submit your application. Within three working days you will receive a completed application form for your Eggcard, check it and sign. Once you have returned this form to Egg plc they will open your account within 7-10 working days. You will also get a Welcome Pack to confirm that the Egg card account is open.
